Conversational Faith is run by Benjie Shaw. I am a Collegiate Ministry Specialist with the Tennessee Baptist Mission Board serving as the campus minister at the University of Tennessee Health Science Center, the Director of the Metro Memphis BCM, and the President of Baptist Collegiate Ministries of Memphis. I’ve served in campus ministry contexts for the last 6 years.

I’ve been married to Jenna for 11 years and we have two kids– a 5 year old daughter named Ava and an almost 2 year old son named Caleb. My conversations with my kids feature heavily in my content strategy because they are simply content gold.

I’m a Crossfit-er, coffee snob, MCU enthusiast, and lover of a good post-apocalyptic story.

One of the unexpected occurrences in my ministry has been the frequency with which I find myself in conversations about difficult or complex subjects. Oftentimes these conversations are with people with whom I deeply disagree. This site is the fruit of some of the lessons I’ve learned about where and when to draw lines and how to keep a difficult conversation going. It’s also a space to have conversations with others on subjects in which you might not otherwise have an opportunity to engage.

Thanks for visiting the site! I hope and pray Conversational Faith is an encouragement and help to you as you seek Jesus, wherever you are in that journey.
